A poem by Fi...

Fall fall whispers the crickets
Fall fall cries the scarlet leaves as they scrap against the bark of trees
Fall fall cries the late Morning Glories as they slowly close
Fall fall whistles the wind as it blows through the trees creating an endless tomb

They are growing and growing...

and eating like mad! We should have some cocoons soon.

CCYP at The Cobb Energy Center...

Mac and some of her CCYP cohorts performed at the Cobb Energy Center this morning. They were showcased along with a number of other Atlanta area performing arts companies, like the Atlanta Ballet, The Center for Puppetry Arts, and the Ferst Center at GA Tech.

The first group to go on was this amazing modern dance group. They are called Full Radius Dance. Fi and I were blow away by how powerful they were. Here is their web site if interesed. www.fullradiusdance.org/




Then it was time for our troop to go on. They did a couple numbers from past shows, and last but-not-least, a number from Bye Bye Birdie. Mac has never done a musical before, so this is a whole new world for her. For the first time in a while she has a none speaking role; all she does dance and sing. Sore feet and tired vocal cords rule the house right now. They looked great, and the show should be a smash come November.

They're back...

It's Fi's turn to study the Eastern Hemisphere, and with that comes raising silk worms. Hopefully we will have some beautiful moths in a few weeks.

OK, seven things that make me Awe-Summm:
1. I've survived living in Atlanta for 31 years. Not sure how much longer I can do it.
2. I've learned how to play with fire and melt metal. Also make metal tools!
3. I've acted as my youngest pancreas for the last eight years. I wish I could buy her a new one. :(
4. I can eat the worm w/o gagging... lol
5. Even when things look glum, I try to look for a bright spot... I try.
6. I make a mean fish taco.
7. I'm still homeschooling.
