Missing Cape Cod...

These photos, from a NY Times article, made me weepy this morning. It's been so many years... I miss the sand, the smells, the sounds. I miss Cape Cod. How odd it is that we become attached to a place, trapped in time, trapped in our memories.

You have lived in the most incredible places.
I seem to collect places I miss. I miss Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland most (where my darling Grandad lives), closely followed by Edinburgh because it is a simply wonderful city where I can be myself (Imet dh there and Snufkin was born there too), closely followed again by Liverpool which has to be one of the most beautiful cities I know with the loveliest people. Now I must add Copenhagen, which was full of smiles and welcomes and made me wish I was Danish.
Cape Cod is one the the places I most want ot visit, along with New York.

Oh, I wish that I could say I have lived in wonderful places. Only NY & GA are where I have laid my hat.

We used to summer on the Cape when I was younger. You, my friend, have been to and lived in places that I wistfully hope I can one day visit. I love to travel, but life has made other plans for me... I only hope she changes her mind sometime soon.
